Hallmarking
In the UK, hallmarking is a legal guarantee of precious metal content. Hallmarks confirm the metal’s purity and provide reassurance of quality and authenticity.

• Lockets that meet the UK weight threshold are hallmarked in accordance with UK regulations.
• Smaller items that fall below the hallmarking requirement are still made from genuine sterling silver or gold-plated sterling silver.
  

Where items fall below the UK hallmarking threshold, they are not hallmarked to protect the integrity of the piece. All such items are nonetheless made from genuine sterling silver or gold-plated sterling silver and carefully quality-checked.
